Looking Back at 2025 – A Year of Progress, Partnerships, and Impact

2025 was a challenging year for the global automotive industry, marked by uncertainty, cautious investments, and continued transformation. Against this backdrop, NIRA maintained strong progress, driven by long-term partnerships and a clear focus on software-defined solutions that address real-world safety and efficiency challenges. Rather than slowing us down, the year sharpened our priorities and reinforced the importance of scalable, data-driven innovation.

Throughout 2025, NIRA Dynamics also strengthened its global presence by engaging closely with customers, partners, and the wider industry. Through international events, conferences, and meetings, we shared insights, explored new opportunities, and took part in key conversations shaping the future of mobility and road safety.

Bringing new innovations to market

Harsh Braking

Harsh Braking transforms large-scale deceleration data from millions of connected vehicles into actionable road safety insights. By identifying locations where drivers frequently brake suddenly, the product uncovers hidden risk areas and enables smarter, earlier interventions, before accidents happen.

Predictive Maintenance

Throughout 2025, we continued to move our Predictive Maintenance offering forward, with steady development and growing interest from both new and existing partners. As part of this work, we expanded our portfolio with new detection capabilities that support a more proactive approach.

Expanding our portfolio:

  • Faulty damper detection: Detects loss of damper efficiency before it affects safety or comfort, reducing costs and supporting customer retention through timely maintenance.
  • Chassis defect detection: Continuously monitors chassis condition to detect faults impacting safety, comfort or stability, supporting predictive maintenance and uptime.

Awards

Honored by industry recognition

In 2025, our work was recognized with two major industry awards — a strong endorsement of both our technology and how we collaborate with partners.

NIRA Dynamics was selected as one of just 49 recipients of the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2025, out of more than 35,000 suppliers worldwide, for supplier quality and excellent performance as a partner to the Bosch Group.

We were also honored to receive FKG’s Stora leverantörspriset 2025, awarded for innovation, technology leadership, and international presence. Together, these recognitions reflect the trust we have built within the automotive and mobility ecosystem, and the long-term value of our engineering-driven approach.

Advancing the Future of Road Maintenance

Our commitment to improving infrastructure and road maintenance continued throughout 2025, supported by steady development and growing trust from both new and long-term partners. Long-term partners, such as Trafikverket, reaffirmed their confidence in our data and insights, while focused investments in the U.S. infrastructure market began to pay off through increased adoption and new collaborations with several Departments of Transportation.

At the same time, we saw strong growth in the Italian market, where multiple cities actively used our data to support more informed road maintenance decisions.

In 2025, we also reached an important milestone in our road maintenance journey through the ROMO (Road Monitor) project. As part of a newly announced multi-year collaboration, NIRA is one of the partners developing advanced information services based on anonymous connected vehicle data. By combining sensor fusion from everyday driving with the practical expertise of road authorities, the initiative aims to support smarter, safer, and more future-ready road management.

We look forward to seeing how this collaboration evolves in the Netherlands and the impact it will have on safer, more efficient road networks.

Looking ahead in 2026

We enter 2026 with strong momentum and a continued focus on safety, both on the road and in the vehicle. The year kicks off with our winter demo event in Arjeplog, where real-world conditions bring together embedded vehicle intelligence and connected road insights. Alongside our in-vehicle safety services, we will further expand our infrastructure and road maintenance portfolio with new products and features that enable earlier, smarter action. Across domains, our mission remains the same: turning data into safer roads and safer driving.
