NIRA Dynamics and Fyrqom explore new tire intelligence solutions for heavy vehicles

NIRA Dynamics and Fyrqom have initiated a collaboration to explore how vehicle data, tire sensing and digital services can be combined to create new tire intelligence solutions for trucks and commercial vehicle fleets.

The collaboration brings together NIRA Dynamics’ expertise in sensor fusion, vehicle software and tire-related analytics with Fyrqom’s capabilities in tire sensing, connectivity and fleet services.

The companies will explore how information from tires and existing vehicle systems can be combined to provide a deeper understanding of tire condition and vehicle operation.

One important area is how information generated by individual vehicles can be transformed into useful insights at fleet level. Connecting in-vehicle measurements with cloud-based services could support fleet operators in areas such as maintenance planning, vehicle availability and tire management.

Together with Fyrqom, we can explore how software and sensor fusion can turn this data into useful tire intelligence, both in the vehicle and across the fleet,” says Otto Johansson, Head of Innovation at NIRA Dynamics.

The collaboration will initially investigate several tire-related use cases and different technical architectures. The objective is to understand where combining vehicle signals, tire sensing and connected services can create the greatest value for vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators.

The collaboration is exploratory in nature. The initial work will focus on identifying relevant use cases, evaluating technical opportunities and building a foundation for potential future products and services for the heavy-duty vehicle market.
