Meet us at the World Congress on Road Winter Service, Resilience and Decarbonisation

Road excellence does not stop when winter begins. From March 10–13, 2026, NIRA Dynamics will be in Chambéry, France, for the 17th World Congress on Road Winter Service, Resilience and Decarbonisation — joining global experts committed to safer, more resilient, and more sustainable road networks.

Under this year’s theme, “Ensuring road excellence in all seasons,”  the congress brings together road experts, academics, and practitioners from around the world to share best practices and international experience. With a strong focus on winter maintenance and sustainable operations, the discussions reflect the growing need for smarter decision-making— an area where NIRA’s Winter Road Insights contributes with real-time, network-wide road intelligence.

Visit our booth to see how Winter Road Insights (WRI) transforms everyday traffic into real-time insight on winter road conditions. Using sensor fusion in millions of vehicles, we monitor friction levels across the network at high geographical scale, providing live status updates that support better planning and quality assurance of winter operations.

The result? Safer roads and more efficient winter maintenance.

Our Product Manager, Johan Peterson, will present together with Svevia (one of Sweden’s largest road maintenance contractors) on KPIs for winter road maintenance based on friction data from connected vehicles. The session explores how measured friction data is used as a KPI to evaluate contractors against defined friction requirements, enabling a data-driven approach to quality assurance in winter road maintenance.

Together, let’s explore how smarter winter maintenance can strengthen resilience and improve efficiency. See you in Chambéry!
